| Reds 14 PADRES 9 | Doubleheader - Game 1. Reds hold on to defeat the Padres 14 to 9 in the first game of this doubleheader. Matt Brammer gets the player of the game award for finishing the final 3 1/3 innings of the first game and starting and almost finishing the second game. |
| Padres 5 REDS 4 | Doubleheader - Game 2. Matt Brammer goes 8 1/3 innings as the Padres edge the Reds 5 to 4 in the second game of this doubleheader. Matt stole home with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to the surprise of the Reds. Greg Woodard goes 2/3 of an inning in the top of the 9th for the win. |

Kevin Shemuga pitched 4 1/3 allowing 5 runs and Tim Burton in relief of 7 2/3 giving up 2 runs. John Maroli homered in the 2nd, a solo shot. Bisons had 11 hits and Superman Roger Flickinger caught all 12 innings, not bad for a 61 one year old... he is Super Roger. |

Well, the Padres were fighting amongst themselves. The Legends didn't seem to be affected by this at all. The Padres need to re-think their in-game strategy. |

| Cubs 14 PADRES 2 | The Cubs' Tony Martin (3-0) pitched six innings giving up 2 ER. A.J. Shubic was on base all five times and had 3 RBI, including a solo home run. Bruce Bishilany had two hits and Jerry Kupetz added 3 RBI of his own. |
| Legends 3 BISONS 2 | The Legends combination of Jeff Klominek and Bill Venter tamed the herd. The Bisons had 11 hits but were not able to get key 2 out hits with runners in scoring position. John Jacob gave up 5 hits in the loss, 2 of them in the 7th gving the Legends a final 3-2 win. The Legends are a great team and it was fun to have played them, good luck the rest of the journey. |

Paul Mirka led the way for the ARCS going 5-7 (2 Dbls, 4 RBI, 2R) with Hank Newman getting the win in relief going 6 innings giving up 1 Unearned Run and striking out 8. |
| Winking Lizard 7 BISONS 9 | "THE HERD" and Winking lizard battled at HERD STADIUM under Carolina blue skies. Tied 7-7 going into the 8th, Ray Fantozzi led off with a single followed by a double by Tim Burton. Both would score. John Jacob goes 6 1/3 and Tom Frey gets the save. The star of the game was Jack Gould stealing 6 bases and at the dish goes 2 for 2 and 2 BB. |

Bryan Kerby pitched the final 5 innings with no earned runs and giving up 1 hit and striking out 7 to get the win. Greg Woodward gave the Padres the lead with a 3 run home run in the 7th inning. |

| Reds 10 BALLPARKERS 5 | Behind a strong 9 inning performance by Ed Lewis, the visiting Reds defeat the Ballparkers by a score of 10 to 5. Again, the Reds displayed excellent defense and held the Ballparkers to just 5 runs while the Reds' offense managed to chip away at the Ballparkers' pitching. Mike Ciani had an excellent offensive game with 2 doubles. The rest of the Reds all contributed to take the team to 3-2 on the season. |

| Brewers 5 REDS 6 | In a 9 inning game, the Reds behind the excellent pitching of John Toth defeat the Brewers in a close one, 6-5. Toth threw 7 innings of shutout ball before giving up 2 runs in the 7th inning. Ed Lewis got the save behind good defense and an offense that scored just enough runs to hang on for the victory. The Brewers came alive in the top of the 9th to make it an interesting and exciting finish. |
| Orioles 6 CUBS 13 | Tony Martin (1-0) went six innings for the win, giving up 3 ER with 4 K. He also went 3-4 with a double and 3 R at the plate. Kip Zelenak, AJ Shubic, Joe Savage, Randy Kistemaker, Jason Hillman and Marc Adkins all contributed two hits each for the Cubs. The Orioles pounded out ten hits of their own and were leading 3-0 at one point. |

| Lumber & Lightning 2 BLACKSOX 9 | The heat of the day didn't stop Al Bauman from turning out a masterful performance (9 IP, 1 ER). That wasn't the only heroics of the day. The game was supposed to be played in Mentor. Upon arrival there was discovered a field conflict. The only field available was in Bay. The Ashtabula based Lumber & Lightning graciously agreed to cross town and play an additional 40 miles away from their homes. The sportsmanship exhibited by L&L is a great credit to the league. |

Rick Krause was the star of the game going 3 for 3 with 2 singles, a double and one RBI. Tom Frey gets the W going 5 giving up the Arcs only run. John Jacob goes 4 to close it out. Hank Newman goes 9 for the ARCS striking out 7 herdsmen, he is a great pitcher. Excellent fundamental baseball for both teams. |

| Reds 7 LUMBER & LIGHTNING 3 | In a well-played game, the Reds overcame excellent pitching by Lumber & Lightning to prevail 7-3 in 9 innings at Euclid this morning. Mike Ciani and Bruce Goldstein led the Reds hit parade and Mike Hoffman and the rest of the Reds turned in excellent defensive plays to secure the win. Winning Pitcher was John Toth and Ed Lewis got the save. |

For the Bisons we got 5 strong innings from Ray Fantozzi not allowing a run and John Jacob finished strong striking out the last batter with runners on 2nd and third. |
| Brewers 7 ARCS 8 | The Brewers and ARCs battled back and forth with the ARCS coming out on top 8-7. The Brewers held early leads of 1-0 and 3-1. However the ARCS scored 5 in the 4th to take a 7-3 lead then held off a late charge by the Brewers. Larry Lindberg gave up 9 hits in 8 innings for the win. The ARCS balanced offense had 14 hits with 10 ARCS players having at least one hit in the game. |
